Setting customer password & password2 must be in client script
I spent a while researching this & finally had to put a case in. Since I found nothing about this in SuiteAnswers, Help or the Online Group, I wanted to post something in case that would help others.
In some cases, on the customer record, we need to set the password & password2 fields to a random value when the record is created. I set this up in a user event server script. I set the password like this:
recCust.setFieldValue('password', 'ab123c'); recCust.setFieldValue('password2', 'ab123c');This always got the following error:
EXCEEDED_MAX_FIELD_LENGTH
The field password contained more than the maximum number ( 16 ) of characters allowed.
