Display warning message on pageinit function in view mode?

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to display a warning/information message when viewing a record?

Using the very simple Client Script:-

function customerPageInit(type)
{
//  Display information
alert("Warning or info message here");
}

I only get this info message displayed when creating or editing a Customer BUT I also want to see it when viewing a Customer.
