changing shipmethod doesn't recalc shippingcost

edited Dec 2, 2019 5:59PM in SuiteCloud / Customization 7 comments

Hi,
In the schema browser it says...

Note that in Web services, whenever an update occurs to quantity or another field that impacts shipping cost, [shippingCost]'s value is automatically recalculated. To prevent this recalculation, submit the shipping cost with your update.

However, I use...

nlapiSetFieldValue('shipmethod', searchResults[0].getValue(columns[0]), true, true);

in a ClientScript to set the shipmethod field (which should update the total), however the shippingcost field does not get set to the amount entered, therefore no shipping gets added. Is there a way to auto-calculate the shippingcost field other than retrieving the Shipping Item record and manually calculating it?

Howdy, Stranger!
