Extracting the Item RecordType
I've had a difficult time discovering the correct value to use for Item Record scripting, having used 'type' successfully in the past but failing to succeed when attempting to use 'type' after introducing Serialized, Lot Numbered, and Matrix items to the mix.
For those with similar issues, example below:
nlapiLookupField('item',item,'RecordType')
RecordType is capable of returning the actual values 'lotnumberedinventoryitem', 'serializedinventoryitem','inventoryitem', etc.
Hope this helps someone out there!
