CORS Support

Has any one heard about whether NetSuite is going to start supporting CORS at some point? I feel like the .forms, .rest, and .system sub-domains should allow requests from each other. I am trying to make an ajax request from custom jquery code inside of a Suitelet to one of my RESTlets on button submit, but I cannot find a solution for getting around the Cross-domain restrictions.
