Putting Custom Record on Employee Center

Is it possible to put custom records onto a tab in the employee center? If so, how is it done?

I can get a custom tab to appear in the Employee Center but I can't get anything to show up underneath it. I'm trying to make certain custom records available on a tab called 'Intranet' for use a reference area for everyone with Netsuite access.
