Subsidiary pemissions on custom records

Hey,

We are running the subsidiary management module / SIC / MC3 and I am stil trying to get my head around several things.

Mostly, how do you limit the access to custom record based on sub?  I've got a custom record, with a custom field that links so subsidiary but all employees across the subs can see all of the custom records.

Any ideas?

Also, why is there no sub management for support or even a dynamic default on custom fields for User sub as there is for location, department and class?  Seems some basics have been missed.
