Will 2010.2 expose more records???

I'd LOVE to get access to sitecategory (fully I mean). We currently utilize the item record as a category to sub-items and want the ability to "automate" the creation of like site categories so whenever someone creates a new item category we can script to automatically create a like-named site category rather than making this a cumbersome manual duplication

I'm still not really understanding why these and many other records in NetSuite are just not exposed in the first place. What's the security or development issue to do that?
