Restrict access to custom record to employee and subordinates
Hi All,
I have added a custom record that includes customer and employee as fields.
I would like to restrict access to the information in this record such that each sales rep sees only their and their subordinates entries. The restriction should include list views, searches and reports as well.
Unfortunately, setting the role option 'Employee Restrictions' to 'own and subordinates only' doe NOT affect custom records. Enhancement 96641 has been created to address this.
Does anyone have a good workaround for this limitation? Some roles should be able to view/edit all entries for this record but sales reps should only be able to view/edit their own.
