HTML Email Templates and Custom Records

I am working on creating HTML email templates in NS with data from a custom record.  This custom record is used for the quoting process and has selections for things like 'Company', 'Customer Contact', and 'CSR'.  This custom record also has 7 tabs of sublists associated with it.

Currently the CSRs are using the built in Email functionality that exists on the custom record (drop down list with Note, Email, Letter, PDF, etc) to send emails and they would like to continue to use this process.

My question is, is there a way to get at the data associated with the selected Company, Customer Contact, and CSR as well as the data in the sublists when I create the HTML template?  If so, could someone post some sample template code demonstrating this?
