Tax rate pdf display issue

When creating a Custom Transaction Form if we select Tax Rate to be printed a column gets added displaying the tax rate for each line item. However if Tax Rate is not printed; the value for the Tax Rates are added then displayed in the total portion of the PDF. We don't want to print the Tax Rate so how can we turn this off?
