Need Help on the correct formula for the average function

edited Dec 3, 2019 11:53AM in SuiteCloud / Customization 9 comments

Need Help on the correct formula for the average function
• Doing a custom record survey
• Some responses are lists that are also custom records with a rating.
• The rating will be sourced as a hidden field.
• For example, Very Satisfied = 5, Neutral =3, Un satisfied =1, No response is blank
• I am using calculated fields to determine an overall survey response score, which works well for everything except no response.  Since the value is null the calculated field does nothing.
• In excel the formula [avg(a1,b1..)] will treat a empty cell as just that and calculate only the cells with data.
• Is there a formula I should be using to take null values out of the calculation?

Howdy, Stranger!
