Sourcing a List of fields

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a List/Record custom field and have its list show a list of all fields on a specific record?

For example, when you create a transaction search and begin to set your criteria in the UI the first field on the criteria line items is a list of all transaction fields (both standard and custom). It would be so useful if this is possible....
