Custom PDF fields

Hi,

We recently acquired a company and I am creating a custom invoice form that is slightly different than the one we use to accommodate certain items.  On the PDF layout, I would like to include:

1.  The former name of the acquired company
2.  A message explaining that amounts are now payable to us instead of the other parent company

Can I add a custom field that would always state the name of the company on the face of the invoice?  Do I have to create a custom field on the transaction form itself or I can create something directly on the PDF?  I have the message above included in the Disclaimer field, but it appears to be too long and only part of it shows.  Plus I would like it in larger font than the rest of our disclaimer message.  Do I need to create a custom field for this too?
