Hiding NetSuite Customer ID

Hello, Our company assigns ID values to our customers that are different than the NetSuite assigned customer ID values.  We are using a bidirectional web service, and it has been decided that the best way to handle it would be to allow both the NetSuite server and our server to have their own ID values.  The problem is, however, that having the NetSuite Customer ID values display is confusing.  Is there a way to hide these ID values from the screen?
