Custom Opportunity Field that Sources Field on Customer Record

I want to have a territory field in the opportunity record that sources the territory field on the customer record, to reduce errors in data entry. How do I do it?

I have tried to add the new transaction field:

Type= List/Record
List/Record= ?? (I have tried multiple, but I always get an error message)
Store Value= False

In sourcing & filtering, what do I need to choose in source list and source from??
