How to store Date/Time in a Cust Body Field

Hi,

I'm trying to create a custom field that will store Date/Time.  I see a Date type and a "Time of Day" data type, but no Date/Time data type.

I also see that I can set a dynamic default for both the date & time of day fields of Current Date/Time.  However, it doesn't look like NetSuite will actually store that value in either of those data types.

Is there a way to easily store a date/time stamp in a custom field?  I must be missing things since this has got to be a very easy thing.
