Sales Order PDF Layout - not showing Total

I have enabled "Charged for Shipping" and in the transactions, there are these total


Subtotal               4,263.00  
Tax               426.30  
Shipping Cost  0.00  
Total               4,689.30 

Instead of using the Total standard field in the PDF layout, I have removed
TOTAL so that I can add my own CUSTOM ENTITY FIELDS

I have added
{Subtotal}
{Tax Total}

But I can't get the TOTAL to show up.
I have tried with
{TOTAL SALES}
{TOTALAMOUNT}

Which is the correct TOTAL in the custom entity field?
