Sourcing "quantity available" in formula field on item record

I am trying to create a newfree-form text formula field on my inventory item record that defaults to {quantityavailable} with the "store value" box UNCHECKED

When i try this however, it displays the result "ERROR: Field Not Found"

Is there a specific name i should be using for this? I tried {location.quantityavailable} as well and that didnt work either.
