Weekday Formula in Search?

Is it possible to create a formula in a search criteria to select transactions older than 1 business day (weekday)? For simplicity we can ignore holidays and assume that transactions are only entered during weekdays. For example, logic something like this:

Date < Today - if( (Date=Friday or Date=Thursday) then 3 else 1)
