Issue Management - Issue Details

I notice issue detail is available under reports, but it only appears to pull in the most recent message.  Detail does not appear to be available in a saved search at all... Is there perhaps a formula available to get it?  Something like {detailsjoin.message}?  If not available in a search, can I grab it via ODBC?
