Lead search with number of call records without drilling down

My search-Foo is rusty -

I want to add the number (count) of phone call records in the lead list.  I've accomplished this by grouping all the fields and creating a count field on Call : InternalID.  This works, but it has the disadvantage of making the list a drill-down list.  In other words I can't just click the name of a lead, I need to click it, drill down, then click it again.

I understand *why* this is happening (all the group clauses) but am wondering if there is another way to accomplish what I want without having to drill down needlessly.
