Formula (Numeric) with Round() function not working

Before I file a case and go down that road I wanted to check if this seems incorrect to you all.

I have a Task search with the following field:
Formula (Numeric) | Average | Round( SYSDATE - {createddate} )

I understand that I'm rounding the result of SYSDATE - {createddate} but how can I round the result of AVERAGE?
