YTD vs Last YTD Fomulas

I need help trying to find out how to make a search that returns and compares, YTD amount for an order taker VS Last YTD amount and gives the percentage difference.
I have tried many variations of formulas to no avail.
Any help out there would be greatly appreciated and if there are some post I could get pointed to that would be great also??
