Saved search getting the value of a drop down list
On the employee record there is a field called 'type' - it's a drop down list. The field id is employeetype. In a saved search I'd like to be able to have a case statement that compared an employee's 'type' with values in that list without hard coding the text in the case statement eg
Hard coding approach:
case when {employeetype} = 'contractor' then .... end or the non-hardcoded approach which I'd prefer:
case when {employeetype} = {employeetype.listitem2} then .... end where the 2nd item in the list is 'contractor' - I've made up the syntax for doing this as it's the part I'm not sure of. 0
