Formula for grouping Counts

Hi

I have a SS that outputs each customer and how many items they bought, I would like to group these into 2 columns Singles and Multiples.

CompanyA has 1
CompanyB has 3
CompanyC has 1
CompanyD has 2

I need a formula to say:

Single   Multiple
...2..........5....

any ideas?
