Reporting on Customer Fields...

Hello Community,

Just wondering if anyone knows about how run a report and/or saved search on the activity in custom fields..meaning the history of data entered in custom fields within a certain time frame. I've tried a System Note search but it always seems to crap out.. Any takers?? Thanks in advance folks!
