How do you get a SPACE into LPAD or RPAD
OK everyone....... I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to get a SPACE to stay in an LPAD justification.
Here is my problem:
I created a search and I want to format the display.
Well when I use the LPAD statement and put something into the holding character place it works.
BUT when I try to put in a blank space as a place holder it does NOT work.
SO How do you make a space in LPAD or RPAD?
here is my formula
lpad(sum(case when {location} = '03 Denver AtLast' then 1 else 0 end),5,' '
