SQL Date Function

Hello,

I am trying to select data using an SQL formula for 2 different months, same field in the same saved search results.  In other words, I'm looking for:

{lifts} for last day of last month
{lifts} for last day of last month - one year ago

I have tried several different SQL formulas with no luck.  Any help with this statement would be appreciated!
