Using email field in a saved search returns altemail fiels results also

I created a saved search based on contacts.  I added a filter to get only results where email starts with A.  This returns results where ANY email field (email, altemail) starts with A.

This seems like an error to me but I'm sure it's "working as intended."

Is there a way to search/filter based on only the specific field "email" rather than all of them?
