Bill of Materials Inquiry

Hi guys,
I would like to create a search that will drill down into a multi-level bill of material and display on the same page, just like Netsuite's Transaction - Manufacturing - Bill of Material Inquiry.

I would then like to use this to generate a shortage report.

Any suggestions please?
