Escape Character in Advanced Search and Global Search

In both global search and advanced searches (criteria and as an available filter) I need to search for the underscore character "_"
However, NetSuite treats this as a single-character wildcard (the same as "?" in Office).

I'm trying to find out what the escape character is that I can use in these cases.
So far I've tried (without luck)
Quotation marks, "_"
Single quotations, '_'
Back-slash before, \_ (←JavaScript uses this)
Back-slash after, _\
Tilde, ~_
