"Apply Formula to Grand Total" in search?

So, you can apply a formula to the "Grand Total" of a column when making a custom report. Is there a way to do with with a search? We have a margin % for each sales rep, but the "total" is just an average of each sales rep margin, not the actually margin (revenue-cost)/revenue. We report on commissions slightly differently than the native netsuite way so that's why I have this separate search.
