Any alternative methods to sync Outlook to etsuite?

Based on the reading I have done in these forums to date it really looks like Netsuite's Outlook integration is not ready for prime time. I'm wondering if there are any decent work arounds that someone might of discovered.
I'm in outside sale and would like to maintain all of my CRM data in Outlook and then sync it up to the company's Netsuite database periodically. I'm considering purchase of a CRM designed to work within Outlook (such as Prophet) to track customers, tasks, email, contacts, organization charts, etc. but I'd like to know if there is ANY way to sync the Outlook/Prophet database into Netsuite's database structure? I'd even be willing to use CSV if it was available.
