Campaign Profit Is Net, Not Gross

The profit that is shown under a campaign is not really profit. The value shown is just the revenue generated by cash sales minus the costs involved in the campaign. What about the costs of the items themselves, shouldnt they be involved in working out the actual profit of a campaign?
