URL of images in File Cabinet

Why is the URL of each image in my File Cabinet such a long and complicated string?

It is causing me a huge headache with email security systems that consider use of an executable script as the SRC parameter of an IMG tag to be security risk.

Is there any way to generate an url that ends in .jpg or .gif, instead of media.nl?a=blah&b=blah&c=blah?

Can we use simple URLs? There are many free content management packages that feature this technology.
