How Do I Send Bulk EMail with Letter or PDF Template?

Is it possible to do a bulk email (to a Group) that will automatically include a Letter or PDF template to create the attachment?

We want to send our customers a Customer Information Sheet for them to verify or change and return. So we would like to send by bulk mass email, all customers in a Group an email with an attachment which is auto-created using a Letter template during the bulk email process.

If this can be done, please point me to the proper documentation.
