Mail merge to same group, but different amount of records

A coworker and I each did bulk mail merges to the same dynamic employee group just a few hours apart; in reviewing the merge history, I noticed that she had 159 records, mine was 145. I don't believe the saved search, though it's dynamic, changed that much in a few hours?
