Attention: NS Payroll Users: Reminder on NH UI and NH Emergency Power Surcharge Rates
As you may be aware through agency notices (from the State of New Hampshire Department of Employment Security), a 0.5% Emergency Power Surcharges will be invoked for the remaining three quarters of 2009.
As advised by Perquest, our payroll partner, you need to update your New Hampshire Unemployment rate in your payroll system. Kindly call or visit the website New Hampshire tax agency if you qualify for this additional Emergency Power Surcharges.
For Premier Payroll users, the rate should be changed before your last payroll in June in order to avoid penalties and interest. Should you get the rate updated on time, Perquest will require some additional funding but the payments will all be on time.
