Attention : Connecticut State Withholding Increase For Year 2009
Connecticut has increased its tax rate for high-income earners. This is effective for all of 2009, with a requirement to catch-up based on the tax already withheld for the year. This change is unique in that employers are asked to adjust the withholding retroactively to January 1, 2009 for the rest of the 2009 payrolls.
The NetSuite system will be updated with the new tax tables for the remaining payrolls on November 12, 2009.
ACTION REQUIRED:
You will need to adjust the withholding for the following individuals:
1. Single Filers with Annual Earnings More Than $500,000
2. Head of Household Filers with Annual Earnings More Than $800,000, or
3. Joint Filers with Annual Earnings More Than $1 Million.
