Action Required:Basic Payroll:Hawaii reduced taxable wage base from 38,800 to 34,900
Hawaii reduced the taxable wage base from $38,800 to $34,900. These changes take effect beginning with the first quarter unemployment tax (January 1 – March 31, 2010). Netsuite had been updated to comply with the state requirements.
Action Required:
Adjust the Taxed Wage Base and Hawaii Unemployment Tax for employees who have exceeded $34,900.
To search for employees who have exceeded $34,900:
1.Go to Reports > Payroll > State Withholding
2.View the Detail Report by clicking the amount under “Amount Withheld” column next to Hawaii Unemployment
3.Under the Wage Base column, search for employees who have exceeded $34,900
