Summary
The Affordable Care Act requires all employers in California regulated by the Fair Labor Standards Act to provide a notice to all employees informing them of the existence of Covered California (the Marketplace) and the ability to purchase health insurance in the Marketplace. The regulations require that employers notify current employees by October, 1 2013, and new employees who start after October 1, 2013 within 14 days of the employee’s start date. Below are links to template notice forms developed by the U.S. Department of Labor that employers may use. Employers may also create a custom notification form so long
