As of 2017.1, NetSuite will implement stronger uniqueness checks of external IDs for newly created records and for updates to external id values. After your account is upgraded to the new release, it will no longer be possible to create or update a record with a duplicate external ID. This change is intended to avoid issues that may result from duplicate external IDs. |
