Changes to AddressBook Handling for Web Services Entity Record Requests
Some customers may have one or more web services integrations that create or update entity records. Currently, web services changes to entity records might cause the creation of empty AddressBook entries on entity records, resulting in an AddressBook line entry with no address record.

As of 2017.2, validation of AddressBook lines is enabled, and an empty record is not permitted. Currently this validation occurs in the UI, but is disabled for web services, meaning that there are no changes to web wervices integrations in 17.2.

As of your 2018.2 upgrade, a change will be made so that web services requests that create or update entity records and contain at least one AddressBook entry will create or update the AddressBook line only with a defined address record.
