Important Changes to Third-Party SMTP Server Setup in 2018.1

Important Changes to Third-Party SMTP Server Setup in 2018.1

This notice is for customers using a third-party SMTP Server for your email services. To implement a higher standard of security in your NetSuite account, the SMTP Server configuration page in the NetSuite UI is no longer editable as of 2018.1. You can still use the third-party SMTP Server feature, however you should be aware of two important changes:

[LIST=1] [*]If you wish to make any SMTP Server configuration changes, you must now contact Customer Support for assistance. You will no longer be able to edit the SMTP Server page, accessed at Setup > Company > SMTP Servers. [*]Only a single port, 587, will be supported for outbound SMTP traffic. If you have configured any ports other than port 587 in your system, you must make changes to your configuration to support port 587. After updating your company’s configuration, contact Customer Support to make the corresponding change on the NetSuite side.

Regards,

@Robert Nedelkow-Oracle | NetSuite Support Community Administrator
