MS SQL Server 2016 Support in NSPOS 2018.2.0 – Installation Guides
| MS SQL Server 2016 Support in NSPOS 2018.2.0 – Installation Guides |
| This notice is intended for customers using NetSuite Point of Sale (NSPOS). [h=3]What is changing[/h] As we communicated in a previous email, we support Microsoft (MS) SQL Server 2016 for customers running NSPOS 2018.2.0 or greater. This information is important to consider now because Microsoft will deprecate support for MS SQL Server 2008 R2 on July 9, 2019. [h=3]What this means to you[/h] It is vital that your registers stay compliant and not be at risk from problems caused by missing Microsoft SQL Server updates. Although Microsoft might offer extended security-update plans you can purchase to continue receiving support for MS SQL Server 2008 R2, many NSPOS retailers will choose to move to MS SQL Server 2016 instead. |
