Importing higher level tasks from MS Project

edited Aug 3, 2009 9:49AM in SuiteProjects Pro Discussions 3 comments

Hi all,

I'm trying to setup a project by importing its tasks from an MS Project plan. We plan to keep both in sync, but MS Project will be the master for planning.

The problem now is that we don't want the level of detail in OpenAir that we have in MS Project. For example, the MS Project plan contains the following hierarchy:

- Development V1
-- Feature 1
----Specification
----Coding
----Testing
-- Feature 2
----Specification
----Coding
----Testing
-- Feature 3
----Specification
----Coding
----Testing

In OpenAir, we would only want to import the hierarchy up to the features and track the times against it:

- Development V1
-- Feature 1
-- Feature 2
-- Feature

Howdy, Stranger!
