Project Milestones?

<p>Can anyone explain how to use Milestones and why/when to use them? I can't find anything about them in the help, other than the fact that they're tasks w/o planned hours but then you convert them to tasks... That's helpful </p><p>In my case, I want to recognize revenue as we deliver milestones, and I see where I can create a rule to recognize based on the milestone but have no idea what that means. Does that mean when the milestone is closed? Does that mean when the milestone reaches 100% complete? If I create a % complete rule for revenue recog, then the milestone shows there as a task, so that's confusing...</p><p>This is obviously my first time using them, I was expecting them to function just like phases but allow for special billing and recognition rules built around them. ie. several
