Pdf files open in a blank screen in Internet Explorer 9 or Windows 7
Ever tried to open a document under the .pdf extension just to find that the screen is blank or greyed and do not show the data? This is a common issue caused by the reader version used by the browser, you may follow the steps below to set the file association correctly:
1. Click the Windows/Start button > Control Panel > Default Programs > Associate a file type and protocol to a program.
2. Select the .pdf extension.
3. Click Change program.
4. Browse and locate the Acrobat reader executable file usually located on C: > Programs > Adobe > Reader xx > Reader > AcroRd32.exe
