Ready for Recognition checkbox

Why does this field show up as read-only? The Ready for Recognition checkbox is a read-only NO on the task edit form in two cases: 1. There is no recognition rule that is tied to a task. (Once you create a rule that is tied to a task, you should see the ready for recognition checkbox is active and can be checked. This was a change that was implemented in our January 2008 release.)<p class="MsoNormal"
